NiCHE - the Marketing club of IMNU organized an event called RANNBHOOMI on 13th October at IMNU.
The event Rannbhoomi is held every year by the Niche Club. It is a contest between different sections of first year MBA students in terms of showcasing their class as a brand using innovative marketing strategies.
Total 5 sections - 1 from BBA-MBA(Integrated) and 4 from MBA (FT), participated in the event. Each section branded their class as follows:
BBA-MBA – “Monarchs”
MBA (FT) A – “Aristocrats”
MBA (FT) B – “Bannerets”
MBA (FT) C – “Conquerors”
MBA (FT) D – “Deagles”
There were 5 rounds in the competition-
Polling Round – This was the first round of Rannbhoomi where different section had to gather as many votes as possible. “Deagles” won this competition.
Meme Round – This was the second round where competitors had to post memes with good, humorous and creative content.
Fireball Round – Third round was physical round which took place in the back lawn and was a modified version of handball with some more fun element being added to it.
Promotion Round – Each class was supposed to use different kinds of marketing to promote their section and make their presence felt in the college.
Hour Zero - All the class groups showcased their talents in the forms of video making, group dance, group singing, etc.
There was intense competition and excitement around this event. Each class brought out skills of marketing as a group & learnt the very important characteristics like team work, leadership skills and practical implementation of different forms of marketing.
The judges for the final 5th round held in the IMNU auditorium were Ms Bhakti Shah (Ahmedabad based creative writer) & Ms. Yugma Desai (Surat based Architect and avid biker). They delivered valuable contribution & support by judging each class during the 5th round. Dr. Meeta Munshi, faculty co-ordinator of Niche club, was present for support and guidance.
There was one prize for ‘Rannbhoomi Winner’ & one prize for ‘Best T-shirt Design’. The prizes were in form of running trophies. “Deagles” won the prize of Rannbhoomi’16 and “Monarchs” won the prize of “Best T-shirt Design”.
For the Niche team it was a very good learning experience about how to execute such a different, yet interesting, event successfully. At the end it was great fun for all the participants & organizers as well.
