Paint Your Dreams is a social initiative of IMNU organised every year by the Cultural Committee in association with Saral. Kids from various NGOs from all over Ahmedabad. All the NGOs are invited to join us in the campus for a day, where they get to spend some quality time. A painting competition is held where they get to portray their aspirations and dreams into the canvas. The day has also attractions lined up like the carnival, music, dance and Puppet Shows.
Following on the same grounds, the day started with bringing kids and their mentors from different NGOs from all over Ahmedabad. The campus was swarming with over 300 kids from 9+ NGOs. After they reached the campus, breakfast was arranged for them in the mess. Then, they were taken to the carnival area which was set up in the back lawn of the IMNU building. We had planned a lots of activities and games for the kids to take part in. We had set up two balloon castles for the kids. Also, we had planned a puppet show for the kids. The kids were taken to the IMNU auditorium for the magic show afterwards. The Puppet show dazzled the kids with his amazing act. It was a blast for the kids.
After the puppet show, we had arranged for the lunch in the mess. The kids had a filling lunch and were then taken to the yoga hall on the 1st floor of the SAC area. They were provided with drawing kit for the painting competition. The kids seem pretty excited to draw anything whatsoever they had in their minds. After the painting campus, we played some music and the kids enjoyed a lot.
For the final proceedings to the eventful day, we had arranged some snacks for the kids. We had provided for a frooti for the kids while leaving for the bus. The kids enjoyed the awesome refreshment. Also, we distributed gifts in the form of a backpack with school kit and |multiple other things. The mentors from different NGOs applauded us for managing the whole event flawlessly. Some students of IMNU had turned up to volunteer for the event and without their support, the event would not have become a grand success. The kids and the students of IMNU had a lot of memories to take away from this day. It has a day of hope, kindness, bonding, humanity and service.
